About Shari Snyder
“Life is short. Eternity is not. Love like there's no tomorrow. Question everything. Trust God for all."
The life motto I created after becoming a widow at 48 years young.
My beloved of 26 years, moved to his eternal address over two years ago after a 57 day medical battle we lost in the hospital after a Covid diagnoses. I knew I had to live for him, even though I begged God to let me take his place in that hospital bed or at least go with him. So I created this contract statement to remind me who I am and why I was left behind: "I am a worthy, vulnerable and authentic woman and my purpose is to surrender to love and cherish every single moment."
Sadness and Grief still come knocking on my door and I will continue to invite them in, sit and have tea with them, but as soon as it's appropriate, I will show them to the door and thank them for coming. Immediately after, I will invite Gratitude and Joy in to keep me company as long as I possibly can. This is how I have learned to stay in a happy place more often than not.
